The Salzburg Festival July 20th – September 2nd, 2012

The Salzburg Festival is one of the world’s most exclusive music festivals and has taken place every summer since 1920. Traditionally amongst the performances is Hugo von Hofmannsthals "Everyman" a performance of which marked the birth of the Salzburg Festival on the 22nd of August 1920 on Cathedral Square.



Easter and Whitsun Festivals

Herbert von Karajan introduced the Easter Festival. Then the Whitsun Festival, which since Karajan’s death has been devoted to baroque music.
