Staying at the Hotel Pension Herbert in the city of Salzburg

The Hotel Pension Herbert reopened once again for guests in August 2008. We are keen to ensure your stay in Salzburg and in our hotel is an unforgettable experience.

The "Herbert" is situated right in the heart of the city, and yet surrounded by greenery. A piece of country in the city – relax on our large terrace in our lovely, newly-created garden. Our hotel is also a great base for excursions to the impressive lake district of the province of Salzburg.  Explore the wealth of museums in Salzburg and enjoy the fabulous performances at the Salzburg Festival. Right in front of the hotel you’ll find the trolley-bus stop – the no. 5 will take you to the Old Town in 7 minutes or to the main railway station in 15 minutes.

The rooms

The cosy double rooms (20 m²), furnished in "old town style" have a large bed, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, and hairdryer. Our single and triple rooms are equipped with shower, and hairdryer. All rooms are well-equipped and offer satellite TV.  Free wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and on the terrace.

For reasons of hygiene there are no carpets anywhere in the hotel. We are also unable to accept pets. Guests wishing to smoke are welcome to do so on our large terrace.

Breakfast – a perfect start to the day

A breakast leaving nothing to desire sets you up for a great day’s holiday. The smell of fresh bread and coffee makes getting up easier. At breakfast we serve fine ham and cheeses, plus fresh fruit. For those with a sweet tooth we offer jams, nutella, honey and crispy cornflakes. And - yes, we serve PG Tips for breakfast.
